This impressive nineteenth-century block printed work was probably made by Riottot using the Zuber printing technique. The image is made up of several layers of color that were hand printed individually with carved wooden planks - this can be seen using a magnifying loupe. The nineteenth-century image represents the view of a village in front of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
