About the Artwork: “Lo que no me mata, me alimenta.” -Frida Kahlo I felt this quote in my soul. I found myself painting a style of Frida that inspired me. That included a crown flowers fit for a queen, hummingbirds that were unstoppable, and new plant life growing all around her.
About the Artist: My painting career started in the beautiful countryside in Taos, New Mexico where I was taught to paint with oils and acrylics by my grandpa Trujillo, who was a landscape artist. I also lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for 5 years. The vibrancy and colorful nature of the beautiful culture heavily influence my art today. I use bright warm colors and paint a lot of nature and landscapes.
